How We Walk the Path Together

Support that blends clinical clarity with steady, compassionate presence — offered with care, intention, and respect for your family’s pace.

The Difference a Tender Presence Makes

A Steady Heart at the Bedside

1

When exhaustion sets in, I step in.
You can sleep, shower, or simply sit outside for a moment of quiet — knowing your loved one is safe and not alone.

With my nursing experience, I understand the body’s changing language — so you no longer have to monitor every breath.

Tending to the Whole Person

2

End of life is not only physical — it is emotional, relational, and deeply human.

I help families:
• Understand what physical changes are normal
• Reduce fear by naming what is happening
• Create space for legacy conversations and meaning-making

When mystery fades, peace becomes possible.

A Guide Through the System

3

The healthcare world can feel overwhelming.

I translate “doctor-talk” into clear language.
I help you ask the right questions.
I support Advance Care Planning so decisions are made gently — not in crisis.

“We cannot change the outcome, but we can change the experience.”
— Barbara Karnes, RN

Ways We Can Walk Together

Each family’s journey is different. These offerings are designed to meet you where you are — whether we are clearing the fog at the beginning, sitting quietly at the bedside, or tending to the practical details that follow.

Discovery & Roadmap Session

Before peace can enter the room, we often need clarity.

This 90-minute session is a gentle but thorough conversation where we look at the full picture — the medical details, your loved one’s wishes, and the questions that feel heavy right now.

Together, we create a simple, practical Care Roadmap so you feel steadier about what lies ahead.

Includes:
• Review of the medical situation
• Advance Care Planning guidance
• Immediate next steps
• A personalized written Care Roadmap

Session Length: 90 minutes
Investment: $150
Available in-home or virtually (Ontario & Quebec)

At the Bedside — In-Person Respite Support

There comes a moment when caregivers are simply tired.

During my dedicated 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM window, I provide steady, nursing-informed presence in your home so you can rest, shower, step outside, or simply return to being a daughter, son, or spouse.

During our time together, I:
• Monitor comfort and symptom changes
• Coordinate medication timing as needed
• Provide calm bedside presence
• Support both the patient and the caregiver emotionally

Available within 20 km of Gatineau (travel premium beyond this range).

Session Length: 3-hour minimum (extendable up to 5 hours)
Investment: $75 per hour

Closing the Circle — After-Death Support

The days following a loss can feel heavy and disorienting.

I return to your home to gently guide you through the practical and emotional details so you are not left alone with the logistics.

This visit offers steady companionship while we:

• Review executor next steps
• Coordinate medication disposal
• Assist with equipment return planning
• Create space for reflection and emotional debrief

Session Length: 2 hours
Investment: $175

Virtual Guidance (Ontario & Quebec)

Some of the most meaningful support begins with conversation.

For families who are further away — or who simply need a steady voice — I offer professional guidance by phone or video.

Ideal for:
• Advance Care Planning
• Understanding medical updates
• Grief navigation
• Legacy conversations

Session Length: 45 minutes
Investment: $85

A Note on My 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Commitment

To offer each family my most focused, refreshed presence — while honouring my own family life — in-person visits conclude by 2:00 PM.

During our time together, you will have my full attention and calm clinical focus.

Where I Can Support You

Ontario

Registered Nurse & Death Doula

In Ontario, I practice as both a Registered Nurse and a Death Doula. This allows me to bring clinical awareness alongside emotional and spiritual support at the bedside.

I may support you with:

• Nursing-informed symptom observation
• Medication coordination guidance
• Advance Care Planning
• Bedside respite and caregiver relief
• Legacy and emotional support

Nursing services are provided in accordance with the standards of practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Quebec

Death Doula (Non-Clinical Support)

In Quebec, I support families in a non-clinical capacity as a Death Doula.

I may walk alongside you with:

• Bedside presence and emotional support
• Advance Care Planning conversations
• Legacy projects and life reflection
• Grief and transition support
• Guidance through complex systems

Clinical nursing services are not provided in Quebec.

If you’re unsure what applies to your situation, we can clarify it together during our first conversation.

A First Step, When You’re Ready

If you are feeling uncertainty, or simply need someone to sit beside you and help make sense of what you’re seeing, I invite you to begin with a Discovery & Roadmap Session.

We will sit at your kitchen table — or connect quietly by video — and begin clearing the fog together.

“We can do this — one breath at a time.”
